Helianthus bolanderi, also known as Bolander's sunflower, has roughly 60000 seeds per pound. It is native to California and Oregon, where it grows mainly in mountainous areas, often in serpentine soils. It an annual or biennial that thrives in full sun and can tolerate some disturbance.
