Asclepias speciosa, also known as showy milkweed, has 80353 seeds per pound. Showy milkweed is found across western North America. In Southwest Oregon it thrives in a variety of habitats including seasonally wet meadows, oak savannah grasslands, and disturbed areas such as roadsides. It is adapted to sandy, loamy, or clayey soils but does not tolerate waterlogged conditions. Showy milkweed is a sun-loving plant and typically requires full sunlight to grow and flower abundantly. It can withstand hot and dry conditions. 
Seed treatment reccommendations: 30-60 days cold-moist stratification.
